David Boardman
Focused on the functional and emotional impact of technologies in our everyday lives, David is an interaction designer engaged in creating meaningful connections between people, information and sociable spaces. He is passionate about working on design projects ranging from the concept development to the prototyping phase - on both philosophical and practical levels. He has experience working with and leading interdisciplinary and multi-cultural teams on projects with tight timelines. He is particularly interested in topics related to social sustainability, participatory cultures, maps and information architecture.
He has presented his design and media arts projects in several venues such as MIT Humanities + Digital Conference, Pervasive Computing Conference, Digital Eretics at International Journalism Festival, Fuorisalone, RomaDesign+, Chile Art Biennial, and The Arts & Politics of Netporn. His portfolio projects have been featured on Scientific American, We Make Money Not Art, Wired.it, Infosthetics, Sky News Italia, Repubblica.it. David is a distinguished graduate of Domus Academy / Interaction Design Institute and he holds an undergraduate degree in Media & Communication Studies. Prior to start the current freelance experience, he was Designer & Researcher at the MIT Design Laboratory (Mobile Experience Lab).
